Graduate Assistant at FPU Only -Multicultural Student Services
Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking a Graduate Assistant (GA) for Multicultural Student Services (MSS) will support the university's efforts to foster an inclusive and equitable campus environment through programming, advocacy, and administrative support. This position plays a key role in engaging students from diverse backgrounds, supporting affinity groups, and implementing initiatives that promote equity and belonging. This GA will work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to create a welcoming and supportive campus environment. This position serves in the Student Affairs On-Call system, and is responsible for working with a team to respond to campus concerns, emergencies, and policy violations. In addition to the GA compensation, graduate students who serve in the on-call rotation are also provided on-campus housing for no additional charge.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must be accepted to Franklin Pierce graduate school before GA application will be considered.
- 1-2 years of experience in student leadership, diversity programs, or related initiatives preferred.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and event-planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.
- Experience with marketing, social media, and digital outreach.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and event-planning software.
This is a 2-year position determined by program of study. Compensation includes a stipend and graduate tuition waiver. Expected to work 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday with flexibility for weekend and evening programs, as needed. Some travel within the campus or other area may be required for events.
