Director of Financial Aid

FPU seeks an experienced financial aid-based professional to serve as the next Director of Financial Aid (DFA). The DFA will supervise a strong office staff which provides important financial services to all FPU students. Reporting to the VP of Enrollment Management, the DFA has oversight, direction, and management of the University’s federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, including need-based grants, student loans, work-study, and other sources of financial aid. Experience in financial aid and related regulations in non-profit higher education environments is essential, and experience at institutions that include NCAA division I or II models is highly desirable. The Director must have good organizational and interpersonal skills, along with strengths in verbal and written communication. The DFA is expected to have a working knowledge of federal reporting, specifically FISAP, IPEDS, and FVT/GE, as well as A-133 audits, ideally NH state aid programs, and VA benefits. The Director should also have experience with financial aid software systems, including annual setup, system automation, auto-packaging and more, preferably using PowerFaids and Jenzabar. The Director will join the FPU family at a time of positive change and entrepreneurial focus.
Relocation is available, and while this is primarily an on-campus position, a flexible work schedule is possible.
