Students at FPU Only: Literacy Initiative Coordinator (23/24)
Job Summary: This is a deeply rewarding opportunity for a student interested in building their experience and professional portfolio. This student will assist with the creation, coordination, and administration of unique literacy initiatives in partnership with Jaffrey-Rindge elementary schools. This student will organize student literacy assistants to participate in once a week after-school activities for the schools, approximately 4-5 times leading up to an evening Literacy Celebration at the school. The majority of working hours will be M-F, during the day, but will require a willingness to work during the weekday evenings a few times for the administration of these events with the schools. 10-20 hours of work a week on average and based on availability.
Experience and Qualifications: Must be a Federal Work Study eligible student. An interest in working with elementary aged youth and in an educational setting a plus. Open to all majors, not just education majors. Access to a vehicle is preferred, but not a requirement. Employment is contingent upon completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
