Student Affairs Fellow

Franklin Pierce University - Rindge, NH - Part Time

Reporting directly to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, the Student Affairs Fellow is a dynamic early-career professional, pursuing a post-graduate degree, who will gain immersive, hands-on experience across multiple areas of student affairs, with a primary focus in the Offices of the Dean of Students and Diversity and Inclusion. This two-year fellowship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to student engagement, wellness, inclusion, leadership, and student success initiatives while developing professional competencies and mentorship under experienced administrators.

This fellowship is designed as a professional development opportunity for individuals seeking to deepen their understanding of student affairs work and contribute meaningfully to the student experience. The Fellow is a live-on position who will be a part of the residential life on-call rotation team, support student engagement, leadership, equity and inclusion efforts, and student support initiatives while receiving broad exposure to student affairs daily operations and institutional strategy.

This is a two-year fellowship (nonrenewable). Housing is included and the Fellow will be required to participate in on-call duties. A meal plan will be provided and 2-years of full tuition remission for a Masters Degree (Education Leadership/Business Administration) at Franklin Pierce University.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Assist in coordinating events and initiatives hosted by the Dean of Students and Diversity & Inclusion Offices
• Support program planning, execution, and assessment related to student engagement, retention, and well-being
• Participate in the On-Call rotation to ensure 24/7 support for student-related emergencies.
• Contribute to projects that foster belonging, inclusion, and leadership development
• Distribute communication materials (e.g., emails, flyers, digital content) to inform and engage students
• Work with departments such as Residence Life, Student Involvement, Athletics, and Academic Affairs on cross-functional initiatives
• Attend and support major campus-wide programs (e.g., STEPday, New and Transfer Students Orientation, Family Weekend and Homecoming, Convocation, Community Meetings)
• Engage in data collection and reporting efforts related to student experience and program impact
• Represent the Division of Student Affairs at meetings, events, and on committees as assigned
• Complete a capstone or reflection project summarizing key learning and contributions



Bachelor’s degree required. Must be enrolled in a Masters Degree Program at Franklin Pierce University upon employed. Valid drivers license with a three-year clean driving record required. Demonstrated interest in student development, equity and inclusion, and holistic student support. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including comfort working with diverse populations. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative, proactive, and reflective approach to problem-solving and learning. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
