Students at FPU Only: Tour Guide Admissions (23/24)
Job Summary:
The Admissions department is seeking 20 students to join our team of Student Ambassadors to assist the Admissions Office with Campus tours and manage various projects in the Admissions Department.
General responsibilities of a Tour Guide/Ambassador include: giving welcoming and informed tours of campus to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, group visits, and contributing to large on-campus visit programs.
Students in this role will be supported as future leaders and will need to learn how to be comfortable working with diverse populations that visit the college.
Tour Guides will also be asked to manage office projects and complete other work around the Admissions Office:
- sitting on panels
- walking students to other on-campus offices and or classes
- joining students for lunch
Experience and Qualifications:
To be a successful Tour Guide, applicants will need:
- to enjoy interacting with people on a daily basis
- Ability to memorize and recite facts clearly and accurately
- Strong time management skills, punctual, involvement on campus, and strong work ethic
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Embraces all the core values of the University, especially integrity, diversity, and equality
- Must be available to work some nights and weekends.
