Located in Rindge, NH, Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is close to Boston and New York City yet provides the natural beauty and safety of a lakeside rural campus, with access to outdoors activities, the arts, excellent educational options for families, and more. FPU is seeking a Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) to lead and manage support of 900 undergraduate residential students at the main campus in Rindge, many of whom are student-athletes, and over 600 graduate students at our Academic Centers in Texas, Arizona, and two locations in New Hampshire. As a member of the President’s Council, and reporting to the President, the VPSA is responsible for management of all student life-related elements, as well as development of a vision and plan for student services programming that aids in growth and development of students, initiatives to support student retention, policy development, compliance with Title IX, and budget development and management. Key divisions within Student Affairs include Student Health & Wellness, Conduct, Student Housing and Residential Life, Multicultural Program and Services, Counseling Services, and Campus Safety. The VPSA will build and maintain collaborative working relationships with all divisions at FPU as well as with the local community. The VPSA will intentionally promote a campus climate that supports mutual respect, inclusivity, and high academic, personal, and social standards. The full-time start date is July 15, 2026, but can be flexible for the right candidate.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master's or doctorate/terminal degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Leadership or a similar discipline preferred. Appropriate years of experience in student affairs administration is desired along with evidence of currency in student affairs issues, preferably at a four-year, residential college/university. This role requires some travel locally for University purposes.
Relocation is available, and while this is primarily an on-campus position, a flexible work schedule is possible.
